All participants are asked to read the assigned article, Achieving Evidence-Based Practice in Dietetics by Using Practice Guidelines (Click Here), in advance of the session.  This session will review the intersection between the Code of Ethics and evidence-based practice, including how to use graded evidence in the practice setting and the challenges in its implementation. An in-depth discussion will follow.

 

Learning Objectives:

  1. Define the Code of Ethics and explain the role of evidence-based practice in dietetics.
  2. Apply graded evidence-based recommendations in client-centered care.
  3. Address the tools and resources available to curate objective evidence-based recommendations.
