The 15th Annual Film Feastival featured a documentary screening and discussion about the intersection of environmental, food, and social justice as it relates to the Louisiana & South East region. It is more important than ever that we understand the threats climate change and environmental disasters have had on the communities in this region. The documentary After the Spill takes a look at how the oil and gas industry has historically dominated Louisiana politics and is largely responsible for the state's rapidly disappearing coastline. Panelists for the discussion/Q&A included: Angela M. Chalk, DHA(c), MSHCM, Marcus A. Coleman, PhD, and Jenga Mwendo. (CPE was available for the live event.)
