2020 - 2021 Scholarships & Stipends

NOBIDAN offers scholarships and stipends to NOBIDAN student members. They are awarded to further education, obtain certifications, gain leadership skills and involvement in professional activities.

Give Back to NOBIDAN (MIG) Program

Scholarship recipients are required to serve on a NOBIDAN committee during the upcoming membership year. FNCE stipend winners are required to serve a minimum of two (2) hours working at the NOBIDAN booth.


Dr. Evelyn Crayton Scholarship Deadline: March 26, 2021

For 2021, NOBIDAN will award five (5) $750 scholarships.

Scholarship criteria for the below scholarships:

  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Student Member of NOBIDAN.
  • Student continuing education for at least one additional academic term following application deadline.
  • Dietetic Intern candidate accepted into a program or currently in a program.
  • Accepted or enrolled in an approved program. Those students doing an online distance internship are eligible.
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Along with online application, provide one reference letter, a current resume and (500) word personal statement of goals indicating your professional commitment to excellence in dietetics.

The application will open on February 1, 2021.

NOBIDAN Stipend Deadline: TBD

Ten (10) $100.00 stipends will be awarded to NOBIDAN Student Members that attend FNCE® 2021 in New Orleans, LA. Applications will be available online and at the NOBIDAN Member Showcase booth.

Requirements that must be met for an application to be considered: A 250-word personal statement, current resume and application is required.

Complete the stipend application and submit required documents to NOBIDAN@eatright.org.

Other Scholarship Opportunities

The Academy Foundation also administers a number of scholarships. The NOBIDAN scholarship (different from the Crayton scholarship) has been a part of the Foundation Scholarship program since 1996 and provides at least two annual scholarships of $500 each. The Academy Foundation also funds the CDR diversity scholarship, which provides 20, $5,000 scholarships on an annual basis. Students can apply for these scholarships by completing the Foundation scholarship application which can be found here.

Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership is required, so students will have to log in to access the application.
