2019 - 2020 Scholarships & Stipends

NOBIDAN offers scholarships and stipends to NOBIDAN student members. They are awarded to further education, obtain certifications, gain leadership skills and involvement in professional activities.

Give Back to NOBIDAN (MIG) Program

All recipients of scholarships and stipends are asked to give back a minimum of 2 hours to NOBIDAN within one year of receiving their award. Hours can be fulfilled by their participation on a short-term project with a NOBIDAN Executive Committee member.


Dr. Evelyn Crayton Scholarship Deadline: DEADLINE EXTENSION: 05/11/2020

Scholarship criteria for the below scholarships:

  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Student Member of NOBIDAN.
  • Student continuing education for at least one additional academic term following application deadline.
  • Dietetic Intern candidate accepted into a program or currently in a program.
  • Accepted or enrolled in an approved program. Those students doing an online distance internship are eligible.
  • Minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Along with online application, provide one reference letter, a current resume and (500) word personal statement of goals indicating your professional commitment to excellence in dietetics.

Complete the scholarship application and upload required documents by May 11, 2020 at 11:59pm.

NOBIDAN Stipend Deadline: TBD

Ten (10) $100.00 stipends will be awarded to NOBIDAN Student Members that attend FNCE® 2020 in Indianapolis, IN. Applications will be available online and at the NOBIDAN Member Showcase booth.

Requirements that must be met for an application to be considered: A 250-word personal statement, current resume and application is required.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation has managed the NOBIDAN scholarship since 1996. The NOBIDAN scholarship is part of the Foundation Scholarship program and provides two yearly scholarships of $500. The Academy Foundation also funds the CDR diversity scholarship which provides 20, $5,000 scholarships on an annual basis. Students can apply for these scholarships by completing the Foundation scholarship application which can be found here. Request for the "NOBIDAN Scholarship" when applying!

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics membership is required, so students will have to log in to access applications.
